The Beekeeper Exchange Experience
The Beekeeper Exchange is uniquely built for beekeepers who want to meet other beekeepers, share ideas and see how beekeeping and agriculture looks in different regions.
On sea days, optional casual round-table discussions and mini-sessions focused on practical topics like seasonal planning, bee health, queen-rearing, equipment, efficiency, and industry trends will be available. In port, optional excursions are selected to highlight local culture, agriculture and where available, regional beekeeping and pollinator traditions. The goal isn’t to copy a system, it’s to learn what’s different and bring home ideas that sharpen your own decision-making.
Just as important, this is a real holiday. When you’re not joining in an exchange or excursion, you can fully enjoy the ship: shows, live music, lounges, dining options, pools, spa time, and all the activities that make cruising fun. Come for the vacation and join the beekeeper exchange.
Hosted by Michael Clark
To introduce myself, I’m a travel agent with Expedia Cruises, and a cruise enthusiast. I am also the fifth generation on the family homestead where three generations have been keeping bees for over 100 years. I am also an active board member with the Manitoba Beekeepers’ Association.
My desire is to bring beekeepers together from outside their own region to share an incredible experience. My goal is to provide an opportunity where beekeepers can relax, take in the beautiful views, make new acquaintances, and see beekeeping practices from different parts of the world. I will be the host for the duration of the cruise, lead the group discussions, and organize the on-board sessions and off-board excursions.
